In Odesa, a 21-year-old foreigner has been detained on suspicion of setting fire to a car belonging to a public organization. The young man faces up to 10 years in prison for intentionally damaging someone else's property by arson, which caused significant losses.

The incident occurred in October 2022 at night in the center of Odesa. The burned car belonged to a public organization, and the damages caused by the crime amount to over 774,000 hryvnias. After committing the arson, the foreigner left Odesa and went to Kyiv region, where he committed a similar crime.

According to part 2 of article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the suspect in intentional damage to someone else's property faces up to 10 years in prison. Police representative Iryna Bubnova stated:

"With sufficient evidence, we informed the suspect of his charge for intentionally damaging someone else's property by arson, which caused significant harm." - Iryna Bubnova
