Introducing a New Pilot Scholarship for Military Personnel
The Institute for Documentation and Interaction (INDEX) has opened applications for a pilot scholarship designed specifically for active members of Ukraine's Defense Forces with backgrounds in culture, humanities, and social sciences. This two-month initiative will award two non-residential scholarships—one for a male and one for a female participant. The application deadline is October 12.
Comprehensive Support for Selected Participants
Recipients will receive financial aid amounting to 1,300 euros monthly, paid in Ukrainian hryvnias, along with mentoring and expert guidance to develop documentary projects centered on the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. The program also offers restorative services, including access to recommended sports and psychotherapy specialists, and assistance in preparing presentations, publications, exhibitions, and other public outputs.
Designed for flexibility, this remote program allows participants to work from anywhere. Mentor Vladyslav Starodubtsev highlights,
“This scholarship provides not only financial resources but also mentorship, expert support, recovery opportunities, and help with subsequent presentations, publications, exhibitions, and media partnerships.”
