The Presidium of the National Federation of Kyokushin Karate of Ukraine believes that there is 'distortion of facts and offensive statements against the federation and some of its representatives' in the interview with serviceman Kryvytskyi.

The federation noted that Serhii Hetmanskyi, whom Roman Kryvytskyi criticized, has not been a member of the federation for over three years due to his permanent residence abroad. The federation also reminded of the initiated investigation regarding possible separatism of Serhii Hetmanskyi, but the Security Service confirmed his integrity.

«Coach Hetmanskyi is still not excluded from the federation, he is present in the federation presidium chat in the messenger. The total annual budget of the Federation is UAH 2.8 million, and the funds for the 'Fighters of the Nation' and 'Fighters of the Nation-2' tournaments were provided by sponsors and the personal contribution of Sensei Anton Zhadan,» the statement reads.

Controversy over the financing of the tournaments

The federation commented on Roman Kryvytskyi's statements regarding the unreported accountability for the funds received for the tournaments. The accusations against the federation's responsible secretary Anton Zhadan as 'lies, insults, and slander' that Kryvytskyi expressed were also refuted. The federation emphasized that any actions that undermine the image of the federation are unacceptable.

It should be noted that in the interview, Kryvytskyi also mentioned the scandal that arose during Mykola Tyshchenko's performance at the 'Fighters of the Nation 2' tournament in kyokushin karate.
