U.S. Launches Military Operation in Iran Following Regional Strikes by Tehran

США готові до активних дій для забезпечення стабільності в регіоні після атак з боку Ірану.

Iran-Israel Conflict Intensifies

Military hostilities between Iran and Israel have escalated, drawing in other regional nations. Iran has struck targets within Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Israel. In response, Israel has deployed interceptor missiles and carried out a preemptive strike. The United States has announced the commencement of a combat operation inside Iran. This escalation marks a significant and dangerous expansion of a long-running shadow war into open confrontation.

Explosions and air raid sirens were reported in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Israel following the Iranian attack. In Dubai, several loud blasts were heard, while residents in Doha witnessed missiles illuminating the night sky and heard distant detonations. An Iranian drone struck Dubai International Airport, heightening the alarm.

Israel, in turn, launched a large number of interceptor missiles against the wave of Iranian rockets. However, at least one rocket penetrated Israel's air defense system and struck an area near Tel Aviv, causing a powerful explosion. On February 28th, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced the start of a preemptive strike against Iran, after which a series of explosions rocked Tehran.

U.S. and Israeli Response

U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that the United States has begun a combat operation in Iran, stating its aim is

"to protect the American people by eliminating the immediate threat posed by the Iranian regime"
and
"to destroy their missiles and level their missile industry."
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also issued a statement regarding the attacks on Iran, noting that "the operation was initiated to neutralize the threat." The direct U.S. military involvement represents a major shift in Washington's posture toward Tehran.

The situation remains tense, and the subsequent actions of the involved parties could substantially impact regional stability.

The escalation of the Iran-Israel conflict underscores the growing volatility in the Middle East, a region already fraught with other longstanding disputes. The entry of the United States into active combat could alter the balance of power, as American military resources are capable of influencing the conflict's trajectory and regional stability. The future actions of the parties involved and the response of the international community may have profound consequences for the political landscape across the Middle East.
