Ireland has delivered 34 vehicles and robots for demining to the Armed Forces of Ukraine: details of the aid

Two convoys with vehicles and equipment arrived in Poland for transfer to the Ukrainian military. According to a statement from the Irish government, the equipment, including 34 vehicles, arrived at the international donor coordination center in Rzeszów, among which were three medical Mercedes Ambulance, 16 Ford Ranger pickups, five Scania 8x8 DROPS trucks, and ten Ford Transit minibuses.



Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Defense of Ireland Simon Harris emphasized: 'This transfer is a testament to unwavering support for Ukraine. It is crucial that we continue to stand firm in the face of Russian aggression and support Ukraine in every possible way.'


Ireland also provided Ukraine with Reacher robots for demining as part of the Coalition's demining activities. Additionally, Ireland announced a new aid package worth €100 million, which will be directed towards military support, humanitarian programs, and reconstruction.



Support for Ukrainian refugees in Ireland


Larisa Gerasko, Ambassador of Ukraine to Ireland, noted that last year the country allocated about two billion euros for the maintenance of Ukrainian refugees. The Irish government has reduced housing assistance for Ukrainians from €800 to €600 per month but continues to provide support through other programs.



The Irish government has provided significant assistance to Ukraine, which included technical means for the Armed Forces and financial support. The Ambassador of Ukraine to Ireland also noted the large amount of funding Ireland spent on maintaining Ukrainian refugees despite cuts to some types of assistance.
