The Ukrainian military continues to advance in the Kostiantynivka-Druzhkivka direction
The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) emphasized in its report that the Ukrainian forces have achieved tactical success in the Kostiantynivka-Druzhkivka direction. They received this information from Russian military bloggers.
According to these bloggers, on September 26, Russian troops retreated from Pleshchiyivka, which may indicate the possible liberation of this settlement by Ukrainian defenders.
The Institute also recorded statements from Russian sources about the successes of the occupiers, including the capture of some settlements. However, ISW does not have independent confirmation of these reports.
Summary of combat actions
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the Toretsk direction, the occupiers carried out 24 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian military over the past day. The most clashes were recorded in the areas of the settlements of Shcherbynivka, Klevan-Bik, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka, and Poltavka.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that the occupiers tried to break through in the Dobropillia direction, but the Ukrainian forces successfully repelled them and inflicted significant losses on the enemy.
Messages from selective opposition about the advancement of Ukrainian troops in northern Donbas are being confirmed by Russian sources, indicating possible successes on the Ukrainian front. At the same time, the occupiers continue active actions in other areas, but meet with strong resistance from Ukrainian troops.
