Ivo Bobul Responds to Liliia Sandulesa's Accusations
Ukrainian National Artist Ivo Bobul has publicly refuted recent claims made by his ex-wife, fellow National Artist Liliia Sandulesa, who accused him of coercing her into having an abortion. Bobul firmly denies the allegations, stating he has lost all respect for Sandulesa following her interview. The couple was married for a decade, and Sandulesa asserts that a pregnancy by Bobul was terminated during that time.
Sandulesa maintains that her husband forced her to undergo the procedure. Bobul categorically rejects this, insisting he is hearing about it for the first time.
"After that interview, I stopped respecting Liliia altogether. There was so much falsehood in it that I was simply astonished, wondering where she got it all from and why she did it," the artist stated.

In his rebuttal, Bobul also highlighted his significant role in advancing Liliia Sandulesa's career, claiming he lifted her 'from obscurity' and organized two successful concert tours. He believes he did everything possible to support his then-wife, including offering critiques about her appearance.
"I said one needs to take care of oneself, that you should maintain a good appearance... And she takes offense at that?" Bobul added.
