Escalation on the Southern Lebanese Border
In a significant escalation, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have deployed additional troops to southern Lebanon. Israeli units are now positioned in border areas, with Defense Minister Israel Katz stating they have authorization to advance and secure further positions within Lebanese territory. This military move is a direct response to a barrage of Hezbollah rocket fire that targeted Israel on Sunday evening.
