Singer Jerry Heil decided to participate in the National Selection for Eurovision for the second time, despite already having popularity and experience performing on the international stage. The artist explained that the competition has long ceased to be a platform exclusively for young and unknown performers, and participation requires significant resources and systematic work. She shared this in an interview with the YouTube channel “Ramina”.
According to Jerry Heil, in many countries, well-known artists with significant media support regularly return to Eurovision, and this is not considered something extraordinary. She emphasized that she had been building her European audience for years after her previous participation, investing all her earnings in promotion, performances, and Eurovision parties.
Participation in Eurovision: why it is not a competition for newcomers
The singer noted that Eurovision does not guarantee instant success and can be a serious trial for young artists. According to her, winning without a prepared team and financial cushion can result in debts and professional burnout. At the same time, a participant from Ukraine also bears additional responsibility — to constantly speak on international platforms about the war and the situation in the country.
Expenses for Eurovision: how much it costs to perform
Jerry Heil shared that participation in Eurovision-2024 together with alyona alyona cost approximately 300 thousand dollars. The money was spent not only on the stage performance but also on promotion, travel, and the team's work.

It is worth noting that the singer Kazhana, whose real name is Hanna Makienko, announced the termination of the contract with the label Nova Music, the founder of which is Yana Shemaeva, known by the pseudonym Jerry Heil.
