Ukraine’s Reform Progress and European Integration
Kaja Kallas, the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, has highlighted the remarkable strides Ukraine has made with its reforms, even amid ongoing war. France has also weighed in, stating that Ukraine’s full EU membership will not come via a shortcut and will require sustained, long-term reforms. In Kyiv, the goal is to complete the main phase of EU negotiations within 1.5 years and sign the accession treaty by 2027. Consequently, despite ongoing challenges, Ukraine continues to pursue its European integration objective, counting on support from the European Union.
