The Young Theatre Canceled the 'Cabaret' Performance
The Young Theatre announced that the legendary performance of 'Cabaret' will not take place this theatrical season. This news became known last month thanks to 'Glavkom', but at that time the theatre's press service denied these rumors, and director Olena Kolyadenko did not comment.
“We sincerely thank everyone who loves this performance and appreciate your interest. We promise – there are many bright premieres and meetings awaiting you at the Young Theatre,” the theatre stated.
The reason for the cancellation of 'Cabaret' was not explained. According to unofficial information, the Ukrainian side violated the terms of the Broadway production license, which prohibited the audience from taking photos and videos during the performance, which had already been violated at the Young Theatre.
Olena Kolyadenko and the Freedom Ballet team declined to comment on the situation, and the Young Theatre also refused to answer journalists' questions.
The performance 'Cabaret' was a licensed production at the Young Theatre and became very popular among the audience. However, due to the violation of the license conditions, it was canceled for this season.
This news is expected to disappoint fans of the 'Cabaret' performance, but new bright productions can be anticipated at the Young Theatre.
