The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has made the decision to establish the National Council for Child Rights Guarantees. This new body will be responsible for the formation, coordination, and monitoring of state policy in the field of child protection.
The National Council will analyze the implementation status of state policy in the sphere of child protection, participate in the development of legislative acts, coordinate the implementation of strategies, reforms, and international initiatives. Additionally, the council will prepare an annual state report on the situation of children in Ukraine and report on the implementation of the National Plan for the introduction of the European Guarantee for Children.
We are creating a new body that will not only analyze the situation but also actively assist in solving problems and improving the quality of life for children in Ukraine
– stated the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The Council for Child Rights Guarantees will be the main body monitoring the adherence to the rights and interests of children at the state level in Ukraine, as well as promoting the improvement of their situation in society.
