The government has changed the rules for eRecovery: what to do if the co-owner is unreachable

Зміни у правилах електронного відновлення: що робити, якщо співвласника неможливо зв'язатися.

The government of Ukraine has made a decision that facilitates obtaining compensation under the 'eRecovery' program for damaged housing owned by multiple owners. Now, a compensation application can be submitted by just one co-owner, and the other co-owners have 15 days to express their objections. This will significantly simplify the process and help many families receive the necessary assistance.

“We are simplifying the procedure for obtaining compensation under the eRecovery program for housing that is jointly owned. The new mechanism will provide thousands of families access to the Program and allow them to receive compensation for the recovery of homes damaged by Russia. We must ensure that as many people as possible can receive the necessary and timely assistance,” emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister for the Recovery of Ukraine - Minister for Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba.

Until now, obtaining compensation was possible only with the written consent of all co-owners, which complicated situations where one of the owners did not participate in the maintenance of the property. However, the new decision now allows for the repair of damaged housing even in cases where obtaining consent from all co-owners is practically impossible.

These changes will allow more families to restore their housing after damage and receive assistance more quickly and effectively.
