The government of Ukraine has decided to extend the experimental project for gas distribution to household consumers in the frontline regions. This decision was made as part of the Government Action Program for 2025, the Ministry of Energy reports.

“Due to Russian armed aggression and the destruction of distribution networks in frontline regions, some consumers remain without central heating and gas supply. However, Ukraine continues to support its citizens by activating various support mechanisms. This project has already demonstrated its effectiveness, so we will continue its implementation in the next heating season,” emphasized the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Hrynchuk.

The project was initially launched during the current heating season for frontline territories, but now it has been decided to expand it to household consumers in the Zaporizhzhia region. It was also decided to extend the project's duration until May 1, 2026.

Under this initiative, gas for consumers will be provided by state companies and international partners.
