Updates to Housing Support for Internally Displaced Persons
On September 3, 2026, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved Resolution No. 1087, introducing amendments to the procedure for providing housing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs). Under the updated regulations, IDPs who were receiving payments as of August 31, 2026, may have their housing support automatically extended for an additional six months, provided they continue to meet eligibility criteria.
This automatic extension also applies to children whose assistance is granted regardless of their parents' income. These modifications aim to ease the financial burden on displaced individuals and their families. The new rules will take effect starting September 1, 2026.
