One-Time Cash Aid for Independence Day 2026
Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers has adopted Resolution No. 602, setting the amounts for a one-time cash payment tied to Independence Day 2026. This financial support targets war veterans, persons with disabilities, former concentration camp prisoners, and families of fallen defenders. The Pension Fund of Ukraine announced the details of the new payments.
Payment Amounts by Category
The disbursements will vary based on recipient category and disability group. Those with special merits to the homeland and people disabled due to war will receive:
- 3,100 hryvnias each for individuals with special merits and for those disabled due to war;
- 3,100 hryvnias each for former minor prisoners of concentration camps and ghettos with disabilities;
- 3,100 hryvnias each for disability Group I;
- 2,900 hryvnias each for disability Group II;
- 2,700 hryvnias each for disability Group III.
Among other eligible groups, combatants and surviving participants of the Revolution of Dignity will receive:
- 1,000 hryvnias each;
- 1,000 hryvnias each for former underage prisoners of concentration camps and children born in places of forced detention;
- 650 hryvnias each for family members of deceased war veterans and families of fallen Defenders and Defenders of Ukraine;
- 650 hryvnias each for spouses of deceased combatants or persons disabled due to war who have not remarried;
- 450 hryvnias each for war participants, former concentration camp prisoners, people forcibly taken for forced labor, and children of partisans and underground fighters.
The fund allocation procedure is established by Cabinet Resolution No. 1396, dated December 27, 2023. Veterans who are currently serving or are pensioners will receive the money automatically. Those who neither receive a pension nor serve must submit an application to the Pension Fund.
