Ramzan Kadyrov: peace is only possible when Ukraine becomes a region of Russia
The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, stated that it is currently not in Russia's interest to cease hostilities. He claimed that peace is only possible when
Ukraine becomes a region of Russia. As reported by 'Glavkom', he said this in an interview with 'RIA Novosti'.
According to Kadyrov, he is not an advocate for stopping hostilities in the 'special military operation zone'.
'I am not in favor of stopping hostilities under the current circumstances in the zone. I believe that ceasing hostilities is not advantageous for us right now... The goals and objectives of the special military operation are not taken out of thin air – they are a guarantee of the security of our entire country,' noted the head of Chechnya.
He also expressed his view on the conditions under which peace is possible.
'Peace on our borders is only possible when Ukraine becomes a region or district of Russia,' Kadyrov stated.
Earlier, the main investigative department of the Security Service of Ukraine officially reported suspicion against the head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov. He is accused of violating the laws and customs of war, in particular, using Ukrainian prisoners of war as 'human shields'.
