Ukrainian ski jumper Vitaliy Kalinichenko demonstrated excellent form at the World Cup stage. In Polish Wisla, he set a personal record, advancing to the final round and finishing in 30th place, improving his result from the previous start.
The victory at this stage was claimed by Domen Prevc from Slovenia, while Ukrainian team member Pylypchuk received a two-year ban for using a prohibited substance.
Thanks to his successes at the World Cup stages, Vitaliy Kalinichenko has improved his chances of participating in the upcoming Olympic Games by changing his method of qualifying from the Continental Cup to the World Cup.
