Переговори між Камбоджею та Таїландом тривали чотири дні: пошук шляху до миру на кордоні.

Negotiations Between Cambodia and Thailand

Cambodia and Thailand have begun four-day negotiations aimed at ending the border conflict that erupted in July 2025. These negotiations will last until Saturday and are an important step towards resolving the long-standing tensions between the two countries.

The conflict has led to a five-day war that killed dozens of people. The fighting included shelling, the use of artillery, and rockets, complicating the situation in the border areas. As a result of the escalation of the conflict, 40 people died, and around one million residents were forced to leave their homes. More than 300,000 people fled their homes due to the fighting.

Cambodia and Thailand agreed to an immediate and unconditional ceasefire at the end of July, which became an important step towards peaceful resolution. In the context of the negotiations, Surasak Kongsiri expressed hope for positive outcomes, while Donald Trump emphasized that thanks to his efforts, the countries established a ceasefire, and the authorities of both states agreed to halt the fighting.
