Introducing Realbotix's Latest Innovations
Canadian tech firm Realbotix has launched the Echo series, a new range of humanoid robots featuring realistic silicone skin, articulated body parts, and support for over 100 languages. This exclusive edition is limited to 250 units, including 225 desktop models and 25 full-sized robots. Deliveries are scheduled for the latter half of 2027, with prices ranging from $11,950 (approximately 544,000 UAH) to $59,950 (around 2.73 million UAH). Customers interested in reserving a unit must pay a deposit of $199 (about 9,100 UAH).
Key Features of the Echo Robots
The Echo robots showcase expressive facial animations and integrated speakers for natural voice interaction. The desktop Echo Tabletop stands 81 cm tall, weighs roughly 11.3 kg, and offers 17 degrees of freedom. Meanwhile, the full-scale Echo Full Body models range between 183 and 196 cm in height, weigh about 40 kg, and provide 39 degrees of freedom. Both versions are powered by advanced AI platforms including ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, enabling users to engage with distinct robot personas such as Aria, Mila, Dave, and Amar.
Additionally, the Vinci system equips the robots with computer vision capabilities including facial recognition, gaze tracking, emotional cue detection, and spatial-temporal awareness. Data processing is handled locally in under a second, ensuring swift responsiveness. Realbotix plans to release digital avatars of these characters in 2027, allowing interaction via computers, tablets, or smartphones. Conversations, memories, and facial recognition data are stored directly on the devices and not transmitted to Realbotix. However, data may be shared with third-party providers when cloud services are utilized.
Users need to subscribe to the Robot Configuration App software to manage their robots, with fees starting at $19.99 per month (around 910 UAH). Organizations ordering 10 or more units can inquire about bulk pricing options.
The launch of Realbotix's Echo robot series highlights the growing fascination with interactive technologies and their expanding role in enhancing social engagement.
This development marks a significant step forward in robotics, combining sophisticated AI and sensory technologies to elevate user interaction. Given the limited production run, demand for these cutting-edge personal robots is expected to be strong, potentially fueling further growth in this emerging market sector.
As the field of humanoid robotics continues to evolve, innovations like those from Realbotix are paving the way for more advanced technologies. In a similar vein, Tuesday Labs has recently announced pre-orders for its Voxel Series-1 bipedal robot, set to launch in 2028, showcasing the growing interest and investment in robotic solutions that blend functionality with human-like characteristics.
