Caritas Kharkiv Announces New Aid Program: Financial Support and Guidance to Launch in Spring 2026

Карітас Харків запроваджує новий проект допомоги: фінансова підтримка та консультації розпочнуться навесні 2026 року.

A New Wave of Humanitarian Support

Caritas Kharkiv, a charitable foundation, has announced a new aid initiative for vulnerable residents of Kharkiv, set to begin in the spring of 2026. This program is part of the 'Cash Assistance and Resilience for Ukraine. Phase 4' project and aims to assist those whose lives have been severely impacted by the ongoing conflict. The comprehensive support package will include direct cash payments, social case management, counseling services, and application processing at four designated locations across the city. This initiative is a critical response to the prolonged humanitarian crisis affecting eastern Ukraine.

The project is being implemented with the support of partner organizations Swiss Solidarity and Caritas Switzerland. Program specialists will be available to help individuals apply for or replace lost official documents, as well as to assist in accessing state social benefits, allowances, and legal statuses. Both internally displaced persons and local residents can receive legal advice, psychological support, and personalized guidance.

Targeted Case Management and Consultations

A key component of the program is case management, which involves the provision of targeted cash assistance for protection needs. Decisions on allocating these funds will be made on a strictly individual, case-by-case basis. Citizens can seek consultations every Friday from 09:00 to 12:00 at the following locations:

  • The regional service center on Traktorobudivnykiv Avenue
  • Shevchenkivskyi TsNAP (Administrative Services Center)
  • Industrialnyi TsNAP (Administrative Services Center)
  • A special center for displaced persons on Hymnazijna Naberezhna (Embankment)
'Residents can receive assistance from the foundation's experts directly at Kharkiv's Administrative Services Centers. This support is provided under the project, implemented with the assistance of our partners Swiss Solidarity and Caritas Switzerland,' the organizers noted.

This initiative represents a vital effort to address the needs of Kharkiv's most vulnerable citizens, who continue to face hardship due to the war. By combining financial aid with personalized social services, the program aims to provide essential support to many families struggling to rebuild their lives. The involvement of international partners underscores the global commitment to mitigating social vulnerability in Ukraine during this protracted crisis.

As the humanitarian situation continues to evolve, residents may also benefit from various government aid options available for online application. Understanding these financial supports can complement the assistance provided by Caritas Kharkiv.
