Kasparov on NATO: the alliance no longer exists due to Trump's policies

Каспаров: Політика Трампа переконала в непотрібності НАТО

Garry Kasparov on NATO and support for Ukraine

Garry Kasparov at a security conference held in Halifax expressed the opinion that NATO no longer exists. He accused former U.S. President Donald Trump of pursuing a policy of appeasement towards Putin, which he believes poses a serious threat to Europe. Kasparov emphasized that Ukraine, which is actively fighting, carries out NATO's mission and defends the interests of the entire continent.

Kasparov also noted that 85 senators out of 100 have an impact on this situation. He indicated that if Ukraine is not supported, Russian tanks could already be in Poland. He pointed out that many people have called for surrendering Ukraine, but that would be a mistake.

“This is the best show Putin can hope for,” Kasparov said, emphasizing the need for active measures rather than evacuation.

Position of Volodymyr Zelensky

Volodymyr Zelensky also expressed his position, stating:

“We do not need evacuation - we need ammunition.”
Kasparov warned that if Ukraine were forced to accept an agreement with Russia, it would be the realization of Putin's dream. He stressed the importance of supporting Ukraine, as it is the only country that continues to fight for security and stability in Europe.

Kasparov's speech at the conference underscores the critical situation in international security, where supporting Ukraine becomes a main priority for protecting European interests. In light of the threat from Russia, his words reflect the concern about the possible consequences of insufficient support for Ukraine from Western countries, particularly the U.S. This highlights the importance of unity and active measures to ensure stability in the region.
