Kateryna Sadurska won her second gold medal at the Freediving World Championship
Kateryna Sadurska becomes the World Champion in Freediving for the second time in a month. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the Base of Ukrainian Sports.
The World AIDA Championship has started in Cyprus. It opened with competitions in constant weight without fins among women.
The world champion in this discipline, as well as at the CMAS World Championship that concluded last week, is Kateryna Sadurska. The Ukrainian won with a result of 75 m, starting her performance with a gold medal.
Sadurska is also the current world record holder in this discipline.
Recall that Ukraine entered the top 10 of the overall medal standings of the European Youth Olympic Festival, taking 10th place. The Ukrainian team has a total of: 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals.
Ukrainians amazed at the European Youth Olympic Festival
This is the second most successful performance of Ukraine in the entire history of participation in the Festivals, starting from 1993! The 'blue-yellow' team earned more medals only in 2019 – that year they had 25 awards.
The most successful sport became judo – our athletes won six medals, including bronze in the mixed team tournament on the final competition day.
In addition to judo, athletes from Ukraine also won awards in sports such as swimming (2 gold, 2 silver and bronze), athletics (gold, silver and 2 bronze), taekwondo (2 silver and bronze), shooting (silver and bronze), artistic gymnastics (silver and bronze) and table tennis (bronze).

- On the final day of competitions, the Ukrainian team won yet another award – a bronze. It was won by Mykola Ruschak from Sumy in the 20 km race walking.
Ukraine took 14th place in the overall medal standings. In total, our athletes won 12 medals: 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze.
