The Security Service of Ukraine reported that it suspects two Russian generals and their subordinates of carrying out strikes on Okhtyrka. This information was published on the Glavkom website and refers to the press center of the SBU.

Spies have gathered reliable data regarding the command of the Russian troops responsible for committing war crimes in the Sumy region. In particular, the massive shelling of Okhtyrka on February 25, 2022, was sanctioned by Lieutenant General Sergey Kisilyov, who commanded the 1st Tank Army of the Western Military District of the Russian Federation.

This information points to serious accusations against the Russian military for committing war crimes. The SBU has notified the suspects of their suspicions in absentia and continues the investigation to hold all those responsible accountable.

As a result of the attack on Okhtyrka, nine residents, including a child, were killed, and another nine people were injured. Currently, law enforcement continues the investigation of this event, which has become part of the military actions between Ukraine and Russia.
