Investigation into the assassination attempt on a teacher and student
An investigation has been launched in Kyiv into the assassination attempt on the life of a teacher and a student, committed by a 14-year-old student. The attack occurred in one of the schools in the Obolon district of the capital, where the teenager stabbed a 39-year-old history teacher and another student. All three victims are currently in hospitals, with the teacher in serious condition.
Legal consequences and investigation
The investigation is being conducted under part 2 of article 15 and part 2 of point 1 of article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. After receiving medical assistance, the attacker will be detained in accordance with article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
During the examination of the attacker's phone, correspondence with unknown individuals was found, presumably representatives of Russian special services. Law enforcement agencies are currently checking the possible influence of these structures on the teenager's actions. The press service of the Kyiv city prosecutor's office is handling the further investigation of the case.
