A man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for robbery and the rape of a woman in an underground passage in Kyiv. Prosecutors from the Holosiivskyi District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv supported the public prosecution.
The court found the 38-year-old man guilty of committing robbery and rape under Part 4 of Article 187 and Part 1 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. It was established that he attacked a woman who was descending to the underground passage. The offender managed to steal 4000 hryvnias from her and raped her.
The man was proven to have committed a serious crime, for which he received the corresponding prison term. The court's verdict is an important step in ensuring justice for the victims and punishing criminals who violate public order and threaten the safety of citizens.
