Tkachenko called the situation critical and blamed the city leadership.

The head of the Kyiv military administration noted that responsible city officials failed to timely submit changes to the regulations regarding the status of critical enterprises. This negatively impacts the stability of the economy and the security of the capital in wartime conditions.

The Cabinet of Ministers set a one-month deadline for submitting and approving changes, but this deadline was violated. The order necessary to resolve the issue has not yet been signed.

'The lack of discipline and proper accountability could cost us time. And time is a critical resource in wartime,' Tkachenko noted.

Consequences of losing critical enterprise status

Assigning critical infrastructure status allows companies to protect employees from mobilization. If this status is lost, conscription for men of draft age becomes mandatory, which could affect the operation of the enterprise.
