Traffic Restrictions on Stolychna Highway

Kyiv will impose traffic restrictions on Stolychna Highway on February 12 to allow for road repairs. According to Kyivavtodor, the city's road service, crews will work to eliminate potholes in the first and second lanes heading toward the Pivdennyi Bridge, near the 'Domosfera' public transport stop. This work is part of extensive road rehabilitation efforts undertaken in Kyiv throughout 2025.

Kyivavtodor and its subordinate structures have signed contracts for road repairs totaling 7.4 billion hryvnias. The restrictions on Stolychna Highway aim to improve the road surface and ensure safety for all road users. Major Ukrainian cities frequently undertake such repairs in spring and fall to address winter damage.

Strategy for Upgrading Road Infrastructure

This specific repair is part of a broader strategy to upgrade the capital's road infrastructure, which involves not just fixing potholes but a comprehensive approach to modernizing roads. As Stolychna Highway is a key transport artery, its rehabilitation is expected to significantly reduce accident rates and improve comfort for drivers and pedestrians.

Repair work across the city will continue to ensure the transportation system functions smoothly despite increasing traffic volumes.
