У Києві тривають зимові роботи: тисячі працівників та техніка на боротьбі зі снігом.

Snow Removal in Kyiv

Work is ongoing in Kyiv to clear the streets of snow, with hundreds of municipal workers and special transport involved. As of January 2, 2023, over 396 workers are engaged in manual snow removal, working in 60 teams. Additionally, 575 employees from the municipal association 'Kyivzelenbud' and 55 units of specialized equipment are participating in the street cleaning process.

Weather Conditions and Their Impact

The average monthly temperature in December in Kyiv was 1.0°C, which exceeds the climatic norm by 2.8°C. This allows us to say that December 2025 has entered the top ten warmest months in the capital since observations began. It is worth noting that on December 22, 2022, an abnormal flowering of plants was recorded on the streets of Kyiv, indicating unusual weather conditions.

Municipal services continue to work on clearing the streets to ensure safe movement for transport and pedestrians in the capital.

Clearing the streets from snow is an important task to ensure the safety of road traffic and the comfortable movement of residents. Abnormal weather conditions, such as elevated temperatures and flowering plants in December, may impact the subsequent winter months, threatening the normal functioning of municipal services. The situation requires attention from both local authorities and residents to adapt to climate changes and ensure proper maintenance of urban infrastructure.
