Kyiv Upgrades Preschool Education Portal with Diia-Based Login Options

Київ покращує електронну платформу для дошкільної освіти, впроваджуючи входи через Дію.

Preschool Education Portal Gets a Major Update in Kyiv

The city of Kyiv has rolled out a revamped version of its Preschool Education Portal, featuring a fresh design, improved navigation, and a new authentication system. Parents can now access their personal accounts using modern login methods, including:

  • Diia.Signature
  • BankID
  • PrivatBankID
  • Personal electronic key

After signing in, users will be required to verify their email addresses. Importantly, all previously submitted applications and queue positions remain intact, making the transition smoother for families.

Changes in Child Registration and Monitoring

Valentyn Mondryivskyi, Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, emphasized that the updates are designed to strengthen personal data protection.

“To enhance the security of personal data, we have updated the login process for the parent cabinet. Now, authorization can be done via Diia.Signature, BankID, PrivatBankID, or a personal electronic key. After logging in, users must confirm their email address. All previously submitted applications and queue details are preserved.”
– as stated on Kyiv’s official portal.

Additionally, the Cabinet of Ministers has approved changes to the rules for tracking children of preschool and school age. Under the new regulations, information about children who are not attending educational institutions will be automatically forwarded to the juvenile police and child protection services. These measures aim to improve child monitoring and ensure timely responses to cases of non-attendance.

The overhaul of Kyiv’s Preschool Education Portal represents a step toward simplifying parental access to essential services while boosting data security. With authentication methods like Diia.Signature and BankID, the system now offers a higher level of protection, which is especially critical in today’s digital landscape. At the same time, the updated tracking rules for children not enrolled in school could significantly enhance oversight of at-risk youth in Ukraine, reinforcing social welfare and child safety efforts.

In addition to the recent upgrades to the Preschool Education Portal, Kyiv is set to enhance its enrollment processes with a new system launching this May. This initiative aims to streamline the registration of preschool children, aligning with the city's efforts to provide parents with more efficient access to educational services.
