Staircase Repairs at Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi Station
Repair work on staircases at Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi Station has commenced and will continue from March 12th to March 14th. As a result, the staircases leading from the Pedestrian Bridge to the Northern Platform No. 2 and the descent from the side of the Suburban Terminal will be closed. This will affect passengers using the Kyiv City Express and suburban train services. Kyiv's central railway station is a major hub for both intercity and regional travel.
To minimize disruption, passengers are advised to use an alternative route via the entrance near the Polissia shopping center. This will help avoid inconvenience during the repair period.
Repair Work on Maidan Nezalezhnosti
Separately, pedestrian movement in the underground passage at Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square) will be partially restricted until March 31st. Specialists from the Shevchenkivskyi District Municipal Energy Company will carry out these repairs. The work on the square will involve repairing stair flights, with each entrance group being restricted in turn, which may also impact pedestrian flow. Maidan Nezalezhnosti is a central transportation nexus with multiple metro lines and pedestrian crossings.
The repair projects at Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi Station and the Maidan Nezalezhnosti underpass are part of broader efforts to improve the capital's infrastructure.
These changes may affect passenger convenience, so planning journeys in advance is important. Authorities recommend using alternative routes to avoid delays and inconvenience during the repair work.
