Why has the transport fare increased in Kyiv
The new fares were introduced after the relevant order was signed by the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko. From July 15, a one-time ride on the metro, buses, trams, trolleybuses, and funiculars increased from 8 to 30 hryvnias.
Also, starting from August 1, the capital plans to introduce a new 90-minute transfer ticket costing 60 hryvnias. At the same time, trips purchased at the old tariffs until July 14 can be used until September 14.
The public organization 'Kyiv Passengers' noted that the unlimited pass is only valid on public transport. Private minibuses and city trains are not included and must be paid for separately.
It should be noted that in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv, emergency rescue operations have been completed at the site of a strike on a 16-story residential building. As a result of the Russian attack on July 2, 31 people died and 102 were injured.
