Tulip Season Arrives in Kyiv
Kyiv's tulip season has begun, featuring flowers grown from bulbs donated by the Netherlands. The city received the tulip bulbs from Dutch companies Smit Flowers and Flower Planet, facilitated by the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. This gift-giving tradition started in the autumn of 2021 when the Netherlands sent Kyiv 100,000 bulbs of various colors. Last autumn, the capital received its largest shipment yet—165,000 bulbs. This annual gift has become a vibrant symbol of international solidarity, brightening the city each spring.
