In Kyiv, starting from September 10, the curfew lasts from 01:00 to 05:00, and public transport operates for one hour longer. Simultaneously, the rules for metro and bridge movements during air alerts have changed. Night buses of Kyiv have also been launched for passengers, which run even during the curfew. How the metro and transport in Kyiv operate from September 10
The curfew has been shortened by one hour. Ground transport and metro work longer accordingly, but the schedule of restaurants, entertainment venues, and shopping malls has not been changed.
During the curfew, four bus routes operate from the Central Railway Station. They are primarily intended for train passengers arriving in the capital at night.
The schedule of the metro has also changed. Under the yellow level of air threat, the green Syrets-Pechersk line operates without restrictions, and trains run across the Southern Bridge between the banks of the Dnieper.
Under the red level, the green line is divided into two sections: 'Syrets' - 'Vydubichi' and 'Slavutych' - 'Chervonyi Khutir'. The red line transports passengers only through the underground section between 'Akademmistechko' and 'Arsenalna' during alerts.
Ground public transport continues to operate during alerts. An additional bus No. 1-M from 'Palats sportu' via 'Arsenalna' to 'Lisova' also operates, partially replicating the red metro line.
How the bridges of Kyiv operate during air alerts
Traffic is allowed on the Southern Bridge during alerts, but technological closures of 30 minutes are expected after the danger is announced and for the same amount of time after the all-clear. Entry from Saperno-Slobidska and Mykhailo Boichuk streets is also blocked.
At the Podilsko-Voskresensky crossing, 30-minute technological closures and reversible traffic are also in effect. The order for the Darnytskyi Bridge, Paton Bridge, Metro Bridge, and North Bridge has not changed.
Due to the security situation in the capital, outdoor entertainment and sports events, as well as in buildings without shelters, are temporarily restricted. Under the yellow level of threat, the CNAPs and social service institutions continue to operate.
