Service Update: Train Schedule Adjustments
Kyiv City Express has issued revised information about train operations during construction work at the Sviatoshyn station. According to the latest update, several services will follow altered routes through May 17.
Changes to Train Services
From May 12 to May 16, a number of trains will operate on a shortened route to and from Kyiv-Volynskyi station instead of Sviatoshyn. Specifically, the following trains will run the shortened route:
- B02 Kyiv-Volynskyi — Darnytsia (5:52 – 6:27)
- A24 Darnytsia — Kyiv-Volynskyi (21:46 – 22:21)
- A25 Darnytsia — Kyiv-Volynskyi (22:46 – 23:21)
Meanwhile, the following services will not operate on certain sections:
- A02 Sviatoshyn — Pochaina (5:44 – 6:09)
- B25* Pochaina — Sviatoshyn (22:04 – 22:28)
On May 17, further schedule changes will take effect. The B02 train from Kyiv-Volynskyi to Darnytsia (5:52 – 6:27) will run the shortened route, and the A02 service from Sviatoshyn to Pochaina (5:44 – 6:09) will not operate on the Sviatoshyn–Pochaina section.
Additionally, since March 13, the fare for Kyiv's circular electric train has increased. Tickets for Kyiv City Express purchased via the Ukrzaliznytsia app can be validated at the orange terminals located at each station on the circular route.
Ongoing repairs at Sviatoshyn station are disrupting train schedules, which may cause inconvenience for passengers.
These route changes and service reductions highlight the need for up-to-date information for commuters. With rising ticket prices, it is crucial that passengers stay informed about all updates to plan their journeys effectively.
As the city adapts to ongoing transport disruptions, it's important for commuters to stay updated not only on train schedules but also on other public transport changes. Recently, several tram routes in Kyiv have been modified for a five-day period, further emphasizing the need for timely information to navigate the city's transport landscape effectively.
