New Fare Payment Model in Kyiv Circular Train
The Kyiv circular train will introduce a new fare payment model starting January 1, requiring tickets to be purchased in advance. It is noted that the option to buy a ticket directly in the train carriage will no longer be available. In connection with these changes, control at stations will be intensified to ensure compliance with the new rules.
Tickets for travel can be purchased through the 'Ukrzaliznytsia' and 'Kyiv Digital' applications, as well as through self-service terminals. At the same time, the fare will remain unchanged, which may positively affect passengers accustomed to the existing system.
Changes in Operating Mode and Payment Methods
It is also worth noting that in the first days of 2026, the Kyiv circular train will switch to a holiday operating mode. This may affect the schedule since some additional trips are planned to be canceled, and intervals between trains will increase. In particular, morning and evening services will not operate on routes passing through the Pochayna and Vokzalna stations.
Advance payment methods include:
- using the 'Ukrzaliznytsia' and 'Kyiv Digital' applications,
- self-service terminals,
- validators,
- the ability to purchase tickets with cash at ticket offices.
These changes are aimed at improving the fare payment process and enhancing comfort for passengers.
