Changes in Tracks and Schedule of Electric Trains in Kyiv
Kyiv City Electric Train is making changes to the boarding and disembarking tracks at several stations until December 30, 2023. These changes started on December 25, 2023, and will affect the following stations:
- Protasiv Yar
- Vokzalna
- Karavaievi Dachi
At Protasiv Yar station, trains will arrive and depart from island platform #3, Vokzalna – from track 21 (Kyiv-Passenger, suburban), and at Karavaievi Dachi – from passenger platform #2.
During peak hours, from December 24 to 26 and from 29 to 31, 2023, shuttles will operate between Daranytsia and Vydubychi stations. This innovation aims to facilitate passenger movement during changes in the schedule of electric trains.
Updates on the City Electric Train
This year, as part of the city electric train upgrade, 11 electric trains have been restored. In total, since the beginning of the full-scale war, 47 electric trains have been repaired, indicating efforts to enhance the transport infrastructure in Kyiv.
In particular, on the Sviatoshyn – Daranytsia – Sviatoshyn route, regular departures will occur. For example, trains will leave Sviatoshyn at 8:44, 9:14, 9:44, 10:44, 11:44, 12:44, and 13:44. From Daranytsia, they will depart at 9:46, 10:16, 10:46, 11:46, 12:46, 13:36, and 14:46, respectively.
These changes in tracks and electric train schedules are aimed at improving passenger service and ensuring convenience during trips.
Changes in the schedule and tracks of electric trains in Kyiv are taking place in the context of the ongoing improvement of urban transport, which is an important element of ensuring mobility for the capital's residents. The restoration of electric trains and the introduction of shuttles during peak times help reduce the load on main routes and facilitate access to important transport hubs, which is especially relevant during festive periods.
