Kyiv Police Charge Influencer for Disorderly Conduct Involving Limousine, Cash, and Public Altercation

Київські правоохоронці висунули обвинувачення популярному блогеру за хуліганство, що сталося внаслідок інциденту з лімузином та грошима на публіці.

Bloggers Face Administrative Charges in Kyiv

Police in Kyiv have filed administrative charges against a 21-year-old social media influencer for disorderly conduct. The man was driving a rented limousine with bright, flashy lights through the city center while conspicuously displaying a stack of cash. He also provoked a conflict with an elderly female pedestrian. Authorities have drawn up an administrative offense report under Article 173 of Ukraine's Code of Administrative Offenses, which covers petty hooliganism. This crackdown reflects a broader effort by Ukrainian authorities to maintain public order and curb provocative online behavior that spills into the streets.

This is not an isolated case. Previously, police held a 20-year-old Kyiv resident accountable for posting videos where he wore a police uniform and performed Russian songs containing profanity. Additionally, a 28-year-old blogger faced administrative liability for filming provocative videos while impersonating a cyber police officer. He was dressed in a police uniform, conducted a live stream, behaved arrogantly, and used obscene language.

Information on these cases was reported by Glavcom, citing the Kyiv Police Communications Department.

Police emphasize that such incidents require attention and a response to prevent further offenses.

Increased Scrutiny from Law Enforcement

These incidents highlight law enforcement's growing focus on public behavior, particularly among young people active on social media. The police aim not only to punish offenders but also to prevent the potential consequences of their actions, which can disrupt public order. Such enforcement actions serve as a warning to other internet users about the necessity of adhering to laws and societal norms, both online and in public spaces. The legal framework in Ukraine allows for administrative penalties for acts that disturb public peace or demonstrate clear disrespect for society.
