Updated train movement schedule of Kyiv Metro
Kyiv Metro has published an updated train movement schedule for the festive days of the new year with some changes in frequency. The changes concern the operation of the metro on January 1, 2, 3, and 4.
- January 1: during the morning peak hour, trains will run at intervals of 3–4 minutes, and throughout the day, the frequency will be 5–6 minutes.
- January 2: trains will operate at intervals of 3–4 minutes throughout the day.
- January 3 and 4: the metro will operate according to the weekend schedule, with a movement frequency of 6–7 minutes.
Also, starting from January 1, a new fare payment model for the Kyiv ring electric train will come into effect. The changes in the schedule and fare payment aim to ensure comfortable conditions for passengers during the festive days.
These innovations are important for improving passenger service during the festive period, when there is traditionally an increase in passenger flow.
The updated schedule will help reduce queues at stations and ensure more convenient access to public transport in Kyiv during the New Year celebrations.
