From April 27 to May 3, 2026, Kyiv will host a vibrant lineup of cultural happenings, including art exhibitions, theatrical premieres, concerts, and stand-up comedy shows. Highlights include a retrospective exhibition for Ivan Marchuk’s 90th birthday, the play 'The Last Supper Without Jesus,' and performances by the band TIK and singer Natalia Mogilevskaya.

The exhibition 'Happiness Squared,' spearheaded by Professor Yevhen Kotlyar, brings together around one hundred artists and alumni from the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. Launched in 2020, this project has toured Ukrainian cities such as Kharkiv, Dnipro, Okhtyrka, and Nizhyn between 2023 and 2025. In Kyiv, it runs from April 21 to May 17, 2026, at the Museum of Books and Printing of Ukraine.

Another exhibition, 'Bouquet of Love,' honoring Ivan and Larisa Brovdi, continues through May 17. Ivan Brovdi (1939–2023) was a People’s Artist of Ukraine, and Larisa Brovdi was born in 1939. This display is located at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Ukraine on 44-A Yevhena Konovaltsia Street.

Ivan Marchuk’s exhibition 'I Shook This World' celebrates his 90th anniversary. Marchuk has created over 5,000 artworks and pioneered the 'pliontanism' technique. Nearly 250 of his pieces are showcased across four floors of the Museum of the History of the City of Kyiv, running from March 13 to May 17, 2026.

Theater and Concert Lineup

Among the theatrical offerings, the play 'Big Money' takes place on April 28 at 6:00 PM at the Officers’ House of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The cast includes Liliya Rebrik, Oleksiy Sukhanov, Andriy Dykyi, and others. 'The Last Supper Without Jesus,' directed by Ivan Sharan, will be performed on April 30 at 6:00 PM at the Golden Gates Theater. This production is part of the 'Azhnov School' project and uses the verbatim theater technique.

Giacomo Puccini’s opera 'Madama Butterfly' will be staged on May 1 at 5:00 PM at the Taras Shevchenko National Opera of Ukraine. Solomiya Krushelnytska performs the lead role of geisha Cio-Cio-San. On the same day, May 1, the band TIK and Viktor Bronyuk perform at 6:00 PM at Feels Garden (VDNH).

A charity concert-TV taping of 'Edynyi Kvartal' is scheduled for May 1, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the National Palace of Arts 'Ukraine,' with proceeds supporting Ukrainian military personnel. Alina Omargaliyeva’s concert follows on May 2, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Osocor Residence.

Natalia Mogilevskaya’s anniversary concert takes place on May 3 at 5:00 PM at Feels Garden (VDNH). Also on May 3 at 7:30 PM, the 'Orchestra Under the Stars: Jazz Pop Rock' concert will be held at the Planetarium on 57/3 Velyka Vasylkivska Street.

The comedy show 'Family Therapy' runs on April 30 at 7:30 PM at Bochka Pub, while the stand-up 'Evening of Best Jokes' is set for May 3 at 6:00 PM at the same venue. 'Family Therapy' features Danya Povar, Jayhun Safarov, Dasha Bilotserkovets, and Natalia Skoryk, with Bohdan Pysmenko hosting the stand-up event.
