Kyiv Zoo to Spend 1.67 Million Hryvnias on Electric Vehicles

Київський зоопарк інвестує 1,67 мільйона гривень у нові електричні транспортні засоби.

Tender for Electric Vehicle Procurement

Kyiv Zoological Park, a facility of national importance, has announced a tender to purchase two Attiva 4LC.6 electric vehicles. The expected cost of the acquisition is 1.67 million hryvnias. According to the tender terms, the vehicles must be brand new, manufactured in 2026, and come with a warranty of no less than 48 months.

Technical requirements include:

  • a 48V AC electric motor with a minimum power output of 5 kW;
  • a top speed of up to 30 km/h;
  • a driving range of up to 80 km on a single charge.

Delivery of the golf carts is expected within 60 calendar days after the contract is signed.

Auction Results

The auction has concluded, but only one company participated: LLC El-Consulting. It did not offer a price lower than the expected procurement cost. According to information from a Ukrainian distributor, a new Attiva 4LC.6 costs around 607,000 hryvnias. This confirms that the tender’s procurement price is reasonable.

In 2025, the zoo already purchased four golf carts with a total expected cost of 3.46 million hryvnias. That tender included the Attiva 8L.6, Attiva 4LC.6, Attiva 8L.6HC, and Nev L2C.6 models. This shows the zoo’s ongoing commitment to upgrading its fleet with electric vehicles.

This procurement highlights a broader shift toward eco-friendly transport in Ukraine. Beyond fuel cost savings, it reduces harmful emissions, benefiting the environment. By modernizing its fleet, the zoo aims to improve logistics while demonstrating environmental responsibility in its operations.
