China Steps Up Stealth Drone Testing
China has been intensifying the testing of ultra-large stealth drones at its restricted facilities, with several new aircraft types now documented. One of them, unofficially dubbed the Malan Monster (WZ-X), features a 53-meter wingspan—matching the size of the American B-2 Spirit bomber. Another large drone, with a wingspan of roughly 42 meters, has also been spotted. Both designs follow a flying-wing configuration.
Global Military Spending on the Rise
Global military expenditure climbed 2.9% in 2025, reaching nearly $2.9 trillion—equivalent to 2.5% of world GDP. This marks the highest level since 2009. More than half of that total, 58%, comes from just five countries:
- United States
- China
- Russia
- Germany
- India
Excluding the United States, global military spending would have risen by 9.2%.
