China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated that the process of resolving the 'crisis' between Russia and Ukraine is at a critical stage. He made this remark during a conversation with Brazil's special assistant to the president on international affairs, Celso Amorim, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
Wang noted that 'Russia and Ukraine have made an important step forward by starting negotiations. The process of resolving the crisis is now at a decisive stage.'
The minister also emphasized that China and Pakistan remain in touch and continue to work together to support the 'Friends of Peace' initiative and promote a global consensus for peace to end the war and facilitate negotiations.
