China has expressed its support for all efforts towards peace in Ukraine. Chinese Foreign Ministry representatives stated that they hope for the participation of all interested parties in the negotiations and for a swift achievement of a peace agreement.
'China supports all efforts aimed at a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis,' - the Chinese Foreign Ministry stated in relation to the planned meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.
China also supports maintaining contacts between the U.S. and Russia to enhance relations and promote a political resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. In particular, active participation from all parties in peace talks is expected to achieve a fair and long-term peace agreement.
Ukraine continues to receive support from the international community in its efforts to achieve peace in Donbas and resolve the conflict with Russia. China's support is an important step in this direction.
