China has begun using humanoid robots at the Jianggao logistics hub, part of the Guangzhou postal center, as part of a broader push to automate its postal industry. These machines can process up to 1,200 parcels each hour, significantly boosting cargo handling efficiency. Located in Guangdong Province in southern China, the Guangzhou logistics center handles roughly 6.5 million postal items daily, with that number climbing above 10 million during peak periods.

The modernization initiative is being carried out by China Post Group. The humanoid robots are designed to operate in environments built for human workers. Footage from the Xinhua news agency shows the robots retrieving packages from containers and placing them onto sorting lines, highlighting how humanoid systems are becoming a key part of logistics operations.

Opportunities and Hurdles for Humanoid Technology
