Astribot Unveils New Humanoid Robot Lineup

Chinese startup Astribot, operating under the name Stardust Intelligence, has launched its latest humanoid robot model, the T1, and is now accepting orders. This wheeled platform model starts at $13,000 USD. The company also introduced a flagship variant, the S1, priced significantly higher at nearly $100,000. These releases come as the global robotics industry sees increasing demand for affordable automation solutions.

First showcased on May 29, 2023, the T1 features 23 degrees of freedom, enabling it to handle a wide range of tasks, including:

  • cooking
  • laboratory operations
  • folding clothes
  • sorting automotive parts
  • charging electric vehicles

Each arm of the T1 can lift up to 5 kilograms. The robot stands 155 centimeters tall and weighs approximately 66 kilograms.

The T1's movement system relies on cable-driven actuation, and it learns by observing human demonstrations. Since 2024, Astribot has secured around $100 million USD in investment. Founded in 2022 and headquartered in Shenzhen, the company is positioning itself as a key player in the humanoid robotics space.

Flagship S1 Model

Debuting at the 2024 World Robot Conference in Beijing, the flagship S1 model also offers 23 degrees of freedom. It stands about 170 centimeters tall and weighs roughly 90 kilograms. Like the T1, its single-arm payload capacity reaches 5 kilograms. The S1 is equipped with RGB-D cameras, LiDAR, inertial sensors, as well as force and tactile sensors.

Both models are supported by the Astribot Suite system, which combines virtual reality-based data collection, imitation learning algorithms, and real-time motion optimization. Task success rates for the Astribot Suite range from 80% to 100%.

With these offerings, Astribot continues to advance its humanoid robot portfolio, balancing affordability with cutting-edge innovation to meet diverse industry needs.

As automation demand grows across multiple sectors, models like the T1 and S1 could become vital tools for businesses aiming to boost operational efficiency.

As the market for humanoid robots expands, other innovative models are also emerging, such as a new service robot designed specifically for the hospitality and public interaction sectors.
