Klitschko instructed to pay bonuses to specialists for the liquidation of the emergency in Kyiv

Кличко дав указання нагородити фахівців за усунення надзвичайної ситуації в Києві.

Payment of Additional Monetary Reward

The Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, instructed the capital's enterprises to pay an additional monetary reward to specialists working on the liquidation of the emergency situation in the capital. This decision was a response to the complicated electricity situation in the city, which arose after recent shelling.

As a result of the electricity situation, nearly 500 buildings in Kyiv are left without heating. Electricity outages are being applied in areas of the capital such as:

  • Shevchenkivskyi
  • Podilskyi
  • Obolon
  • Solomyanskyi
  • Syatoshynskyi

In particular, on January 13, 2026, emergency electricity outages were introduced in Kyiv and the Bucha district of Kyiv region, which posed another challenge for residents.

Enterprises Involved in the Liquidation of the Situation

Among the enterprises involved in the liquidation of the emergency situation are 'Kyivenergo', 'Kyivvodokanal', and 'Kyivavtodor'. Vitali Klitschko emphasized the importance of the work of these specialists, stating:

'I instructed the capital's enterprises involved in the liquidation of the emergency situation to pay an additional monetary reward to their specialists.' Vitali Klitschko

This step is aimed at supporting workers who are operating in difficult conditions and doing everything possible to resolve the situation.

This situation underscores the seriousness of the challenges that Kyiv faces during wartime, as shelling of infrastructure leads to significant difficulties for residents. The appointment of additional payments to specialists can be an important step in ensuring timely responses to emergencies and increasing the motivation of workers directly involved in restoring the infrastructure.
