The capital Kyiv has allocated a total of 3.7 billion hryvnias for the protection of critical infrastructure of the second level. This money will be used for the construction of concrete shelters for important facilities in the city. The mentioned amount has already partially arrived at the Recovery Agency under the Ministry of Infrastructure, which will be responsible for implementing this important project. This was reported by the city mayor Vitaliy Klychko shortly before the meeting of the Kyiv Defense Council.
'After the completion of the first level protection, which was accepted by a commission involving the State Special Communications, we formed a program for backup energy supply and protection of the most important objects of level 2,' Klychko wrote on his Telegram channel.
The mayor stressed that Kyiv guarantees full financing of this program and will implement it without attracting additional resources from outside. 'A total of 3.7 billion hryvnias is allocated for these shelters, of which we have already transferred 2.7 billion. Financially, we managed to handle this, and we took the responsibility for the implementation of the program. And Kyiv has coped with this task,' the head of the capital emphasized.
This news highlights the importance of developing and improving the protection system of the city's critical infrastructure, which is becoming increasingly relevant under modern conditions. Investments in security are a priority for the Kyiv authorities, ensuring reliable protection for residents and facilities in the city in case of danger.
