Meeting with the heroes of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko and Prime Minister Yulia Syvyridenko met with police officers and rescuers who are eliminating the consequences of Russian shelling, highlighting their important work. During the visit, the officials thanked the heroes of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for their courage and professionalism in difficult conditions.

Recognition of rescuers and police officers

Among those who received recognition were:

  • Viacheslav Zhosan, a State Emergency Service rescuer who operates a mobile power station in Kyiv.
  • Roman Mazur, a rescue worker who organized the deployment of mobile heating points for those affected.
  • Mykola Fomych, a State Emergency Service psychologist who supported over 200 people by providing them with necessary emotional assistance.
  • Danylo Kosenkov, a police psychologist who helped a three-year-old child evacuate.
  • Yurii Shkolyarenko, a patrol policeman who evacuated five mobility-impaired patients during the attack.
'These are unique skills and experiences that do not exist in the world,' noted Ihor Klymenko.

This meeting emphasized the support and recognition of the efforts of those who save Ukrainians daily under challenging circumstances.

This event highlights the importance of emergency response services' work in the context of war, where the risks to the population's life and health have significantly increased. Recognizing and supporting such initiatives can not only boost the morale of rescuers and police officers but also foster public trust in these institutions. The efforts made by these professionals are critically important for ensuring the safety and preservation of citizens' lives in a prolonged conflict situation.
