Meeting Held in Odesa Region

Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko chaired a meeting in the Odesa region to address security matters, winter readiness, and the situation at the state border. The meeting was convened on the instructions of Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko. Participants included leadership from the Odesa Regional Military Administration, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and local districts and communities, who discussed the implementation of the region's Resilience Plan.

Special focus was placed on the border situation, particularly the 'Transnistrian' segment and efforts to counter illegal crossings. Andrii Daniko, Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, was instructed to update information on a digital map. Notably, mobile fire groups of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS) have destroyed over 200 enemy Shahed and Gerbera-type unmanned aerial vehicles on land and at sea this year.

“There is no time to delay. All stipulated provisions must be carried out precisely on schedule.”

This meeting underscores the Ukrainian government's priority tasks concerning security and winter preparedness, which are especially critical during wartime. The discussions on border security and countering illegal crossings highlight the importance of protecting state interests and maintaining regional stability. The emphasis on timely execution of plans and measures reflects the necessity of keeping security forces ready for any challenges that may arise during this difficult period. The Odesa region, with its strategic Black Sea coastline and proximity to contested areas, remains a key focus for national defense and resilience efforts.

As preparations for the winter season intensify across Ukraine, other regions are also taking significant steps to ensure their readiness. For instance, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast is securing additional power resources to bolster its winter preparedness. This proactive approach highlights the importance of coordinated efforts in safeguarding regional stability during these challenging times.
